You can even access your files on your mobile device or tablet via the OneDrive App in the Google Play Store and Apple app store. ![]() And Microsoft OneDrive integrates seamlessly with other Microsoft Office Suite Apps you are already used to, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Microsoft OneDrive is a cloud-based, collaborative file sharing and storage application within the Office365 Suite that allows individuals to securely access their files from any computer connected to the Internet. All current students, faculty, and staff will be provisioned with a personal OneDrive account and a default storage quota of 500 GB on October 1, 2022. we are excited to announce that New York Tech will make Microsoft OneDrive available to all faculty, staff, and students. All New York Tech faculty, staff, and students must comply with the 4 GB storage limit by December 1, 2022. This individual limit applies to all files stored in your New York Tech G-Suite apps: Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Sites, and Gmail. The not-so-good news is that to stay within our default organizational quota limit of 100 TB with Google, New York Tech will be implementing quotas on all Google Suite accounts for students, staff, and faculty in the amount of 4 GB per person (or account). Since then, Information Technology Services (ITS) has been reviewing options to mitigate the impact of this change on the community. This new quota is an organizational limit and impacts storage utilization in the following G-Suite services: Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. Effective January 1, 2023, New York Tech’s total Google quota will be 100 TB, significantly below the 500 TB we currently use. In the Spring of 2022, we announced new storage quotas for Google higher education clients that are based on institutional size ( previous message).
